OneTigris Pouch Collar Review

The OneTigris Pouch Collar is designed for medium to large dogs. Zulu is wearing the smallest M size and she is probably the smallest dog that can make it work.

Made from 420D PVC fabric, the collar is resistant to dirt, water, and abrasion, making it suitable for everyday use. The large and easily accessible stainless steel D-ring and the large strength-tested metal buckle add to its durability but also to its weight:

The biggest feature of this collar is its waterproof zippered pouch, measuring 3.9” by 2.3”, which provides space for small items like an AirTag. It also includes a clear ID window for easy display of identification. It comes with an ID card to fill out and place in the window.

The collar is also equipped with a large faux leather handle for easy control when needed and the velcro panel is big enough to easily attach patches. Keep in mind that a handle on the collar always comes with a risk of getting caught on something in the woods or causing injuries if another dog’s jaw gets stuck under it so it is not recommended for off-leash time in the woods or free playing unless someone is paying close attention.

Most of the collar’s inside is padded with a thick mesh padding for comfort. There is no material under the hardware so the buckle and leash ring are in contact with the dog’s fur or skin which is important to keep in mind for dogs with allergies or sensitive skin/easily breaking fur.

This collar is sturdy in both look and feel and its material is more rigid than most collars. Even though Zulu can slip many softer 15" collars, this was stiff enough to safely stay on her neck. If your dog is in between sizes, it’s probably safe to size up as the padding, the ID pocket and the stiffness of the collar add another inch or so to the actual fit compared to most other collars.

The Poch Collar is easy to clean using regular detergent on a gentle cycle, with air drying recommended.

Review Summary

The OneTigris Pouch Collar is a heavy-duty collar for those who like the wider and sturdier look.

The pouch is a cool addition and during our limited testing, it seems to be waterproof enough to keep an ID card safe there. I would probably not pick it for daily swimming but mainly because the padding and the material soaks in the water and it takes a while to dry. Also, the wide collar makes it hard for the fur to dry under as well which can potentially cause hotspots if the dog gets and stays wet frequently.

With the patch space, large D-ring, and handle, they packed every feature into this collar that one can ask for and it is still sold for a reasonable price!
