The Details of the Non-Stop Dogwear Fjord Overall
The Fjord Overall is constructed with a durable polyester shell that boasts a 13,000 mm water column rating. Its 2.5-layer breathable membrane, rated at 15,000 g/m²/24h offers ventilation and minimizes condensation, keeping dogs dry and comfortable during outings which is crucial in the case of overalls.

The Fjord Overall is highly adjustable with its six adjustment points, making it suitable for various dog shapes. Internal soft cord locks adjust the armpits, chest, and waist, while external cinch cords fine-tune the fit around the head, neck, and tail. This level of adjustability ensures a snug, non-restrictive fit that maintains coverage even for active dogs.
Available in ten sizes, the Fjord Overall caters to a wide range of breeds and body types.

A standout feature is the integration of Freemotion tech, which utilizes four-way stretch fabric around the front legs and armpits. This allows for unrestricted movement, enabling dogs to run and play freely without the overall impeding their natural gait.
The Fjord Overall includes a leash opening on the back with overlapping layers, allowing for harness compatibility without compromising waterproofness. The orange colors and the reflective 3M logos and details offer visibility in low-light conditions and keep dogs visible even in the distance.

Non-Stop Dogwear Fjord Overall Review
I have been really impressed with the material and design of the Non-Stop Dogwear Fjord Overall. The material is very thin and the whole coat packs down very small which makes it easy to bring it along anywhere. I was worried it would be too hot for Zulu but the material does feel light and breathable so this was not an issue during the muddy early spring outings. Since overalls do offer extended coverage, it is not recommended to use them on warm days, especially for double-coated dogs who overheat easily.

I am most impressed by the Fjord Overall’s adjustability - both with the smart placement of the adjustability points and how much they can change the fit. First, we have started with size 50 which would be Zulu’s size in the regular Fjord Raincoat.
As she is a narrow, skinny dog, the coat felt very baggy on her before adjustment and I was surprised to see how much I was able to fine-tune the fit. The legs are proportionally longer and I am seeing it being too long on many dogs. Luckily the legs can be easily rolled up and as long as I had more than one fold on each leg, they stayed rolled up even while Zu was running around.
This amount of adjustability is outstanding to ensure that dogs with different shapes and sizes can fit in the same size. Check out their

After talking to their customer support, we have tried to size down to see how the 45 would look on Zulu. This proved to be a better match for her with a significantly reduced excess material and improved overall fit even before initial adjustments.
For male dogs, it’s also worth considering sizing down when between sizes to ensure the belly panel doesn’t extend too far back on the belly area.

The biggest compliment is that Zulu did not mind wearing this overall at all even though she can be very gear-shy. While many overalls can come with a constant “crinkle” sound as the dog moves, this one is pretty quiet which I think really improved Zulu’s comfort.
The material feels sturdy but on the softer side, not “rigid” like most raincoats. I would think this also makes it less resistant to tearing if the dog runs through the undergrowth and is hard on coats. The three elastic cinch points on the back can also get caught on branches but so far we had no issues with them or any tearing.

Review Summary
The Non-Stop Dogwear Fjord Overall is a well-designed full-body raincoat that offers excellent coverage without sacrificing comfort or mobility. Its lightweight, breathable fabric provides reliable protection, and the quiet, soft material makes it more comfortable for gear-sensitive dogs.
What truly sets it apart is its exceptional adjustability. The six adjustment points allow for a custom fit across a wide range of body types, making it easier to dial in sizing even for narrow or in-between dogs.
While it may not be ideal for heavy brush, it’s a great option for spring hikes, muddy walks, or everyday wet-weather use.
