MAOGOUBLUE Marshmallow Dog Leash Review
MAOGOUBLUE’s Marshmallow Smart Dog Leash is stylish rope leash option for small to medium-sized dogs. The Marshmallow leashes come in a couple of different versions (standard, smart, plus, max and twisted) and these have different length and weight recommendations to match different dog sizes. They also come in different colors while their general style is the same.
Zulu has the Smart Marshmallow Leash (in Mint Green color), which is recommended for dogs up to 20 kgs (44 pounds).
The leash is 150 cm (59 inches) long and features a quality sponge handle for a comfortable grip. The colorful silicone sliders enable the leash to be worn cross-body or used as a slip lead, allowing versatile configurations.
It has a zinc alloy hook that is easy to attach to any harness or collar or to snap around the leash’s rope to create a slip lead using the sliders.
It has been a good expereince using the Marshmallow Leash and their fun colors and sponge handle is definetly turning heads when we are out. As you can already tell from the pictures, it is more a designer item rather than a practical one - I am happy to use it in the city but it wouldn’t be my first choice for training or a muddy hike.
The sponge handle is really comfortable to use and so far it was easy to rinse clean as needed. I would expect it would start showing wear and tear over time with regular use - similarly with the silicone sliders but they hgold up well during the short period we have used the leash. While I like the idea of using the sliders to create different loops and adjustments, I don’t feel they are the most sturdy material for this purpose.
Another consideration for the handle is that can get awkward if you shorten the leash for a busy area and hold onto the middle while you also need to handle the bulky handle at the same time but the leash length allows most people to get away with holding onto the end only.
While the leash looks a bit bulky, it only weighs 180g (6 oz).
To summarize, the Marshmallow Smart Dog Leash is a great choice for stylish, casual outings with your dog. While it may not be the most rugged option for training or outdoor adventures, its comfortable handle and versatile design make it enjoyable for everyday walks.
