Cross Winds Leather Rope Collar Review
We received the Limited Slip Collar which is designed for both durability and style. It uses UIAA-certified dynamic climbing rope and top-grain leather cord wrapping and from the same materials you can choose multiple different collar designs with full slip and buckle options.
This collar features a large, black O-ring that makes it easy to attach the leash even with one hand.
It is available in various sizes and color combinations to suit different dogs. To ensure a perfect fit, customers are advised to measure their dog’s head and neck accurately, considering both maximum and minimum size requirements for the limited slip collars, and enter that with the order for reference.
Our collar has beautiful details and I am really impressed with the creative use of the different materials. The quality is top-notch: I haven’t found a single section that wouldn’t be perfectly made, aligned, and secured. While pretty, it is also a strong and durable collar that uses the 9.5 mm (0.4") Margot rope.
The sizing of our collar was exactly as I wanted: it slips over Zulu’s head comfortably and doesn’t choke her when tightened - it is just tight enough to prevent it from slipping off if she tries to back out.

Cross Winds Leather + Rope Leash Review
The Leather + Rope Leash combines the same UIAA-certified climbing rope with the top-grain leather to fully match the collar.
It features a leather handle, reinforced with leather cord wrap, and a black O-ring and black coated aluminum auto-locking carabiner. Available in three lengths (4-6 ft) and many colors, this leash caters to all different preferences.
The extra loop on the handle can be used to attach a poop bag holder or to secure the leash around your waist/shoulder while the dog is off leash.
This thick rope leash is comfortable and easy to hold onto - especially the soft leather handle. The braided design on the handle is the perfect finishing touch to make an elegant leash even more special.

We received many compliments while using this set as the combination of the bright color with the black hardware and leather accents creates an elegant and unique look.
We received the most questions about cleaning and the short answer is that these materials are not ideal for swimming or muddy hikes as wet conditions are not great for the leather and dirt exposure can also fray the rope (like rolling around in sand/dirt). I have had to spot-clean the leash once so far and it cleaned up perfectly but again, we are trying to avoid it getting regularly dirty.
When properly conditioned and cleaned, these sets are very durable but they are better used for city walks over hiking. We enjoyed using this set and every discussion with Elena was a great experience showing that she truly cares about each product she creates.
